Getting tickets and fights to the World Cup was a pipe dream for many. If you’re like me and you missed out on going to Russia there’s no need to fret! We’ve found some of the best places to watch the World Cup in London. Check out this list of pubs with local atmosphere that will rival the terraces of the Sochi stadiums this summer!

And remember for high profile games (e.g. England group stage games) there will be an option for table service. This means you don’t have to wait for the half-time ques to be served! Just make sure you book a table at one of the pubs below:

Minories EC3N

It’s a traditional pub and it’s a frequent spot for all of the big games for people from this area. It’s only a one minute walk away from Tower Hill tube station and has a reputation for having a lively atmosphere and plenty of screens.

All games will be shown across numerous plasma screens and two large projector screens. There is a heated beer garden with outdoor screen too, in case you need a breather. This venue also stocks a hearty food menu with some great offers available.

It’s also walking distance from the London Dungeon, so if you’re with the family and fancy some pre game scares to keep everyone happy this is the place you want to be this summer!

Famous Three Kings, Fulham W14

The Famous Three Kings is one of my favourite places to watch sports so I’m looking forward to seeing how they set up for the World Cup this year.

They’ve been voted Best Sports Pub of the Year at the Great British Pub Awards for two years running.

It’s a great space to watch football as the patrons are friendly and the atmosphere is electric. They really aim to be the best sports bar in the world with 71,000 TV channels covering 25% of the planets satellite demands during normal times of the year. So you know it’s the place to be for a serious sports fan!

The Fatling, Hornchurch RM11

This craft pub is another place that lights up when there’s some good football on.
The Fatling is on the main high street of Hornchurch so you better book in advance to get a seat for the big games.
They serve great food and real ale on tap so you can sit back and enjoy the spectacle and the heart racing moments of the World Cup on 6 screens.

Bonds, Mayfair W1S

This is a really modern chilled out bar in the middle of Mayfair for those who want to experience the World Cup in style.
Features a great selection of Tapas small plates from around the world and freshly made, sour dough pizzas.
It’s one of my favourite places to kick back and watch a game with friends. Definitely book early for this one as the bar will be busy on game days.

Earl Of Camden, NW1

This has been heralded by some as one of the best kept secrets in Camden. It’s another modern bar with some great menu offerings to share.

Plus it’s a really short walk from the Camden tube station.

It’s got a reputation for showing big games and there are special drinks deals depending on which day of the week it is.

Fox on The Green, Islington N1

One of Islington’s oldest pubs in a Grade II listed house. They’ve been serving drinks in there since 1872 and definitely don’t look like stopping anytime soon with the atmosphere on game days in there. It’s a local Arsenal pub during the season so when it comes to the World Cup this year the passionate football fans will all be there enjoying the spectacles on one of their 8 HD screens.

Check out the wide-ranging drinks menu and book a table with them for the games!
